Elaine Dumler educates in her own unique way – through speaking.  Forming Frankly Speaking to work with people who wish to bring a sense of craftsmanship into their business presentations, Elaine has grown her company to include a series of presentation skill training and video coaching workshops which have been used by such organizations as General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, and the U.S. government.

Elaine is a wife and mother whose husband served in the Army National Guard between 1969 and 1975 before they were married.  As a speaker her clients take her around the globe.  Recognizing that the stress of separation is there even when the timeline is relatively short, she was particularly touched by what military families face with sustained absences.  Sharing the desire we all have to support our military families, Elaine went back to her roots in communication to create I’m Already Home, (version one) a book designed to help families discover unique and wonderful ways to stay connected and in constant communication when they are apart. Incorporating methods she used to stay connected to her husband and son along with ideas garnered from over 400 military families throughout the country, Elaine created a wonderful resource for any family facing the stress and anxiety of separation.  Her new book, I’m Already Home…Again, combines the best of the original edition with over 150 new ideas, resources, stories, and expanded chapters on reunion, reintegration, pets and deployments, and how communities, schools, and extended families can help. This new information was gleaned through speaking with hundreds more families these past two years.

Focusing on bringing her message and methods of family unity to military families throughout the country, Elaine has been featured in the October 2004 issue of Ladies Home Journal, invited on TV (including MSNBC and FOXNews) and radio (36 programs) to talk about the importance of keeping family ties stronger than ever and the connection strategies most effective in doing so. She is proud to have been presented with 11 different “Military Challenge Coins,” including President George W. Bush’s Commander in Chief coin, to honor her work with families.

Committed to helping military families at home and abroad, Dumler has been traveling to military installations and family readiness conferences throughout the country with her reassuring strategies for families with one goal in mind: to make sure that every American deployed or on temporary assignment in the service of their country has the means available to be in the closest contact possible with their loved ones left behind.  And I’m Already Home…Again is a wonderful resource for all of those families.
